God Saw the Best in Angilie, when Damian saw the worst in her as an unrefined village girl and ended up  maltreating and emotionally abusing her. This movie is seemingly a clash of cultural values. The qualities and values of a village girl in contrast to the big city girl lifestyle that seemed to be the focus of this movie. Damian seemingly didn’t know what he wanted in a woman. The humble, caring and sweet Angilie who made him feel fulfilled as a man but who lacked the glitz & finesse of refined city girls was maltreated and spoken in a condescending manner. Instead of his Love Language Damian became  emotionally abusive with words that diminished and devalued her person  and her self-esteem!.
